Five-color lozenge pattern for the upper and lower wing surfaces of the Fokker D.VII in 1:32 scale from Old Propeller. The sheet is cut for machines from the Albatros licensed production.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet in 1:32 scale that, according to the name, covers both the upper and lower wing surfaces with the five-color version of the lozenge pattern. It is prepared for the Fokker D.VII from the licensed production of the Albatros company. This is not a kit but a decal accessory for a model.
The Fokker D.VII turned out so well that its own production could not keep up with demand and licensed manufacture started at Albatros and at its Ostdeutsche Albatros Werke branch. Machines from the licensed lines differed from the original production in a number of details, among them the treatment of the fabric covering and the layout of the camouflage material, and modelers therefore choose the sheet according to the particular factory. The five-color lozenge was one of the common types of preprinted fabric, and the pattern for the lower surfaces was lighter than the one for the upper surfaces.
With large decals everything depends on the soaking. The water should be lukewarm, not hot, because in hot water the adhesive releases too quickly and the film starts to float before you can transfer it. Dip the sheet for a few seconds, take it out and let it rest on the paper until the film begins to slide on its own, and only then draw it onto the model. If the film moves stiffly, let it rest longer and do not pull at it with tweezers. Rinse the adhesive residue away with a damp cloth once the decal has settled, otherwise glossy patches will remain after drying.
These are decals, an accessory to a kit. The kit, paints, clear coat and decal softener are not included in the package.
