Americans in Stalin's Sky – P-39N and P-47D, Part VI 1:32 is a set of wet decals from AML for models of the American Bell P-39 Airacobra and Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighters in Soviet service.

A set of waterslide (wet) decals in 1:32 scale from the popular series devoted to American fighters in Soviet service. The sixth part concentrates on the Bell P-39N Airacobra and the Republic P-47D-27RE Thunderbolt versions. Painting masks are usually included with this AML series. This is not a kit but an accessory for the plastic model of your choice.
Under Lend-Lease the Soviet Union received large numbers of American fighters. The Airacobra in particular became extremely popular with Soviet pilots: its performance at low and medium altitudes suited the fighting on the Eastern Front and many Soviet aces flew it. The rugged Thunderbolt reached the USSR in smaller numbers and was used mostly for defense. The machines carried Soviet national markings and often prominent tactical numbers.
Apply the decals over a gloss coat so that no silvering appears under the film. Dip the cut-out part briefly in lukewarm water, slide it off the backing onto the model, adjust its position and blot the excess water away. Use a decal softener to settle it into the panel lines and seal the surface with a final clear coat. Stick the enclosed masks onto a clean coat and spray the paint over them.
This is a stand-alone decal set. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
