This is a detail set of cockpit seat belts, not a model of an aircraft. It replaces flat plastic or decal belts with faithful parts of real microtextile (microfiber) supplemented by etched fittings and buckles. Intended for large-scale models of the German shipboard Arado Ar 196 floatplane in 1:32 scale.
In the glazed cockpit of the Arado in a large scale the seat belts are clearly visible and flat plastic or a decal looks unconvincing. The HGW fabric belts have the real structure of a woven material, they can be bent and they drape naturally over the seats of both crew members. Etched metal buckles add fine detail; the textile is resistant to ordinary, non-aggressive modeling products.
Choose the shade of the belt and cut the parts out along the marked line with a sharp knife, then shorten them to the length you need. Bend the textile briefly between your fingers for natural folds and thread it through the etched buckles. Glue with PVA glue (white glue); do not use cyanoacrylate or any other aggressive glue, which could damage the textile or the plastic.
This is not a complete model. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit; it serves as an accessory to a base model.
