Omask 1:32 Bf 108 - masking set, part 1

Pre-cut self-adhesive masks in 1:32 scale for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 108 aircraft. The set is divided into two parts and this is the first of them; the second is sold separately. What each part covers is shown by the illustration of the sheet on the packaging.

The real subject

The Bf 108 was an all-metal single-engine low-wing aircraft with a four-seat cabin, in design a predecessor of the later fighter types of the same marque. It was used as a touring and liaison aircraft. For a modeler it is interesting precisely for its glazed cabin and clean shapes, on which every inaccuracy in painting shows.

Working with a divided set

• Before you start, go through both parts and plan the order - divided sets often complement each other and there is no point in applying them out of sequence.
• Store the sheet flat in its original packaging; wavy material sticks down considerably worse.
• Lift the small parts with the tip of a scalpel or with tweezers, not with your fingers; grease from the skin reduces adhesion.
• The surface under the mask has to be cured, clean and free of dust.

Who the set is for

For a modeler building the Bf 108 in 1:32 scale who wants the color areas sprayed accurately and without cutting templates by hand. The set is an accessory for a model, not a kit.

The package contains masks only. The model, paints and glue are not part of it.
