A set of masks in 1:32 scale for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-7, tied to the machine with the fuselage code S9+FS.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 E is a German single-engine fighter that formed the backbone of the fighter force at the beginning of the Second World War. The E-7 form belongs to the later stages of the E series and was adapted for an under-fuselage rack on which a jettisonable drop tank could be hung. The code S9+FS given in the name refers to one particular machine, and it is to that machine's finish and markings that the set relates.
These are masks in 1:32 scale, that is a separate accessory for the build, not a kit. The pre-cut shape holds the edge of the spray exactly where it should be, so masking off with tape and lining the edges by hand both fall away. Which areas of the model the set covers and in what order the individual pieces go on is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Apply the masks onto a dry, degreased and smooth surface, best onto a dried gloss layer under which the paint cannot run. Press the edge down all the way round with a toothpick or the blunt tip of tweezers. Spray in several thin layers and direct the paint perpendicular to the mask, not at a sharp angle, so that it does not get under the edge. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, while the layer is still flexible.
This is an accessory for building a model. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
