Bright Pine Tree - Base White 1:32 (HGW, wood imitation)

A decal imitation of a wooden texture in 1:32 scale from the Czech maker HGW, in a lighter (bright) pine shade. The Base White version is opaque, so the resulting tone stays constant and the decal can be applied even to an unpainted surface with a white base under it. The lighter pattern suits places where you want to capture freshly worked or less weathered wood.

Use

• Prepare the surface smooth and lay a white paint under it, which can be polished before the decal is applied.
• Cut out the shape of the panel you need with an overlap of about 2 mm.
• Apply it like an ordinary decal, making use of a softener and a setting solution.
• Trim the overlapping edges with a very sharp knife once it is dry.

For builders of models of First World War aircraft in 1:32 scale who want a lighter shade of wood on the fuselage, the wings or the propellers. Suited to less experienced modelers as well, because it calls for no hand painting of wood.
