A plastic injection-molded kit of the attack helicopter Bell AH-1G Cobra in US Marine Corps and Navy versions, in 1:48 scale. The model depicts one of the world's first dedicated attack helicopters in striking American color schemes.
The AH-1G Cobra was the very first production attack helicopter, developed from the proven UH-1 Huey. It has a slim fuselage with the crew seated in tandem — the gunner in front and the pilot higher up behind him — and a rotating chin turret. It was deployed en masse during the Vietnam War; fewer served with the US Marine Corps and Navy than with the Army, and they carried distinctive color schemes.
Use thin liquid cement for the plastic joints and prime the surface before painting. Mask the cockpit glazing and glue the clear parts with adhesive that does not fog them. Apply the colors with an airbrush, highlight the panel lines with a wash, and apply the decals over a gloss coat for a clean transition without silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
