Aviattic: stippled camouflage in green tones for the Halberstadt CL.II 1:32: a decal sheet on a clear backing that faithfully transfers this hand-applied mottled camouflage onto your model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This Aviattic decal sheet on a clear backing (clear decal paper) reproduces the so-called stipple camouflage in green tones for the German two-seat Halberstadt CL.II. The irregular, hand-applied structure of this camouflage is very hard to imitate with a brush or an airbrush, and a decal transfers it onto a model in a consistent form that is true to scale.
The Halberstadt CL.II was a light two-seat aircraft of 1917 and 1918, used to escort reconnaissance machines and above all for the direct support of infantry in the battle squadrons (Schlachtstaffeln). A number of machines carried irregular mottled camouflage applied to the fuselage by stippling; the exact treatment differed from machine to machine, which leaves a modeler room for an individual interpretation.
Spray the surface with a light glossy color, because a clear decal will let it show through and you tune the overall tone of the camouflage with its shade. Before applying, plan how to divide the sheet according to the documentation for a particular machine and work in smaller sections. To settle it perfectly onto the edges, the panels and the raised detail, use softener, and once it is dry even the surface out with a satin or matte clear coat. Work any joins between sections in with fine brush retouching.
This is a decal sheet, an accessory to a model. The aircraft kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
