This is a sheet of wet transfers, not a kit. The set brings the fine technical stencils and markings for the Daimler-Benz 601 engine in 1:32 scale; the package contains two sets, so it will go round for double-sided or repeated marking as well. The maker is the Czech firm HGW.

Use

• Applying technical legends and markings to a model of the Daimler-Benz 601 engine.
• Unlike an ordinary decal, a wet transfer leaves no carrier film and no glossy rim behind; only the legend or the symbol itself stays on the surface.
• First clear-coat the surface with a gloss varnish and sand it lightly with a very fine abrasive; the area has to be clean and degreased.
• Soak the backing paper in warm water, transfer the marking, position it and let it dry properly.

Who it is for

For modelers who want faithful, three-dimensional technical markings on an engine without the visible glossy rim of a decal. The work is more delicate than with ordinary decals and suits more experienced builders.
