Eduard 1:32 F-18 armament - photo-etched set

A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:32 scale meant for detailing the underwing armament and the pylons of the F/A-18 Hornet carrier-based fighter. It is not a stand-alone airplane model but an accessory that is fitted on a plastic kit and replaces or refines the parts that injection molding cannot make thin enough.

The real subject

The F/A-18 Hornet is an American multirole carrier-based aircraft able to carry out fighter as well as attack duties. It carries a wide range of underwing armament on the wing and fuselage pylons, and refining those is exactly what this set is for.

Use and fitting

• The parts are made of thin brass sheet and are separated with a sharp blade on a hard surface.
• Smaller sections are formed in a bending tool or with tweezers along the etched lines.
• They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and epoxy works on plastic as well.
• Before painting we recommend degreasing the brass and priming it with a base for metal.
