A photo-etched set from Eduard in 1:32 scale for refining the landing gear bays and the internal weapons bay of the F-35A Lightning II fighter. It is not an airplane model but a set of fine metal parts to be built into a plastic kit.
The F-35A is a single-seat fifth-generation fighter, which carries its main armament in internal bays so as to keep its reduced radar signature. It is exactly these spaces that are a rewarding place for fine detail.
The etching supplies the walls of the bays with ribbing, runs, panels and small mechanisms, which plastic cannot capture with sufficient fineness. Cut the parts off at the fret, form the bends over a bending tool and glue with super glue. Degrease them before painting and spray them with a base coat.
This is an accessory, not a stand-alone model. The plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
