This is a cockpit detail accessory, not the model itself. The set from HGW contains seat belts made of fine textile (microfiber) completed with photo-etched metal buckles. The belts are usually laser cut, have a real cloth structure and can be arranged naturally over the seat, which brings the cockpit markedly to life.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War that became the backbone of US Navy fighter aviation in the Pacific. A robust, reliable and well-armored machine, it gained the upper hand over the Japanese fighters. In the large 1:32 scale an open cockpit is clearly visible, so accurate belts stand out well here.
Cut the textile belts, thread them through the photo-etched buckles and arrange them naturally over the seat. Use a small amount of cyanoacrylate glue to fix them. The belts are pre-toned and do not need painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled. Glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
