The set contains the turned metal muzzle of the seven-barrel GAU-8/A Avenger cannon and a pitot tube for a model of the American Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft in 1:32 scale. The metal parts replace the plastic items from the box and give the two most conspicuous elements of the machine a sharp, accurate look. It is made by the Polish brand MASTER.
The A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American attack aircraft intended for close support of ground troops and for destroying armored vehicles. The whole airframe was literally built around the GAU-8/A Avenger rotary cannon of 30 mm caliber; its muzzle projecting from the nose is one of the most prominent details of a model. The pitot tube senses the speed of the airflow.
Cut off the plastic parts and clean up the mating surfaces. Glue the metal parts with cyanoacrylate. After degreasing, apply a primer for metal; pick out the cannon muzzle with dark metallic and smoked shades according to the degree of wear.
This is a supplementary detail set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
