A set of photo-etched parts and decals for detailing the cockpit of the plastic kit of the British two-seat aircraft FE.2b in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model but an interior accessory to be fitted into the matching kit. The combination of brass photo-etch and a decal makes it possible to render the instrument panel, the fittings and other elements of the open nacelle faithfully.
The FE.2b was a British two-seat biplane with a pusher propeller arrangement, deployed from 1915 as a fighter, a reconnaissance and later a night bombing aircraft. The observer sat in the open front nacelle with a machine gun and had an excellent view – the cockpit is therefore a rewarding target for detailing.
The photo-etched parts replace and complete the elements of the cockpit; the decal serves for a faithful rendering of the instruments and the surface details. Separate the parts from the fret, bend them over a sharp edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply the decals onto a smooth base coated with varnish.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
