A set of resin fire barrels in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a diorama accessory that will bring an airfield scene, an apron or a hangar space to life. Fire barrels belonged to the typical fire-fighting equipment of airfields and will complete a credible background for a model of an aircraft or of ground equipment.
The barrels served as reservoirs of water or sand for fire fighting and stood by refueling points, hangars and aprons. In a diorama they work as a natural space-filling element and at the same time give the viewer a sense of scale against the aircraft and the figures.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For a realistic look, apply a primer, then paint, and age the surface with washes, rust and pigments so that the barrels look used.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as resin castings. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
