A resin figure in 1:32 depicting a pilot of Imperial German naval aviation of the First World War period. The casting will complete a large model of a floatplane or a diorama of a coastal base. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is not a finished painted figure.
The pilots of Imperial German naval aviation flew floatplanes from coastal bases, and their task was patrol work over the sea, escorting vessels and combat with enemy aircraft over the coast. The flights took place in open cockpits over cold water, so the kit was made up of a leather coverall or coat, a leather helmet, goggles and gloves. Lifesaving equipment was still simple at that time.
First wash the casting in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the remains of mold release agent disappear. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and sand the surfaces wet and with protection for your airways. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). If you are seating the figure in the cockpit, check the fit dry while the fuselage of the model is still open. After the primer, paint with a brush; the leather parts will stand out with the layering of shades and a fine wash, and build the face from a darker base toward lighter areas.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
