A figure of a pilot from the First World War in winter clothing, 1:32 scale, catalog code AER320149.
Responsibility details are not available.
An airman from the period of the First World War in a winter treatment. The aircraft of the time had open cockpits and at altitude it was unbearably cold even in mild weather, which is why pilots flew in long leather coats, flying helmets and gloves. The figure is laid out so that it will serve on German as well as Austro-Hungarian machines; both air services used similar equipment.
A figure in 1:32 scale for completing a model of an aircraft or a scene. The exact pose and the number of pieces are stated on the manufacturer's packaging. In the large scale a grown figure comes out at roughly five and a half centimeters, so even a small detail of the clothing shows on it and it is worth spending time on the painting.
Wash and degrease the parts before painting, cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the figure and sand the remainder. Lay down a base coat, otherwise the paint holds badly on a smooth surface. Build the leather of the coat on a medium brown tone, deepen the folds with a dark glaze and lighten the edges; the fur trim looks better when it is painted with dabs rather than with an even stroke. Leave the face until the end and even the surface out with a matte clear coat.
The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
