Gotha G.I / UWD seat belts 1:32 are fabric belts with photo-etched buckles from the manufacturer HGW for a faithful cockpit of the German First World War biplane.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detailing accessory for a cockpit, not the model itself. The set from the manufacturer HGW contains seat belts made of fine fabric (microfiber) combined with photo-etched metal buckles. The belts are usually laser cut and look far more faithful than plastic or purely photo-etched belts, because they have a real fabric texture and can be draped naturally.
The Gotha G.I and its floatplane version UWD were among the early German twin-engine aircraft of the First World War. They were large biplanes with open cockpits, where the crew's belts were clearly visible. That is exactly why fabric belts in this large scale markedly raise the realism of an open cockpit.
The fabric belts only have to be cut, threaded through the photo-etched buckles and draped naturally over the seat. A small amount of cyanoacrylate is good for fixing them. The belts are pre-toned and need no painting; if you do add color, do it gently so that they keep their fabric look.
The accessory is supplied unassembled. Glue and the basic kit are not included in the package.
