HGW – an armament set for the Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 in 1:32 scale. Brass photo-etched parts for a faithful treatment of the machine gun armament of the German naval aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket set of brass photo-etched parts from HGW intended for detailing the armament of the plastic model of the German naval floatplane fighter Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model but an accessory aimed at the machine guns, their cooling, their mountings and the related elements that cannot be captured faithfully in injection molded plastic.
The Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 was a two-seat floatplane fighter biplane of the Imperial German Navy of the First World War. It was powered by the Mercedes D.III inline six of around 160 horsepower. Its armament consisted of a fixed machine gun firing forward and a movable Parabellum machine gun in the rear cockpit for defense.
The fine cooling jackets of the machine guns are bent into a cylindrical shape along the scored lines. Use cyanoacrylate glue and paint the elements before they are fitted onto the model.
The aircraft kit itself is not included in the package. Glue, paints and tools are not enclosed.
