Montex 1:32 Hurricane Mk.IIb is a set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for spraying a model in 1:32 scale. This is not a kit but an accessory for the Fly kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This masking set from the Polish manufacturer Montex takes the place of laboriously cutting masking tape. The masks are cut to the outlines of the Fly kit, go onto the model and come off once it has been sprayed. They save the most work on the canopy framing. The item is not an aircraft model: it is an accessory used while building a plastic kit you already own.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIb was a British single-engine fighter with a Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engine. The letter B in the designation refers to the wing with the larger number of 7.7 mm machine guns. Unlike its more modern contemporaries the Hurricane had a lattice structure fuselage with partly fabric covering, which made it a tough aircraft that was easy to repair. The Mk.II also found a role as a fighter-bomber.
The Hurricane has angular glazing with pronounced frames, so it is easier to mask than types with a rounded canopy, and all the more reason that an asymmetrical edge would stand out. Once the masks are down, run a blunt point along every edge and only then spray. It helps to spray the edge of the mask first with the color that is meant to show beneath it: anything that then seeps under will blend in. Remember that the fabric areas of the model are usually finely textured, so do not put masks on them; use tape there instead. Take the masks off before the final clear coat.
This is an add-on masking set, not a kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
