Responsibility details are not available.
A set of shaped Eduard painting masks in 1:32 scale for a model of the single-seat version of the Soviet Ilyushin Il-2 ground-attack aircraft. The masks are cut from kabuki tape and mask the glazing frames of the canopy and usually the tires as well. This is an accessory for painting, not a kit; the aircraft model itself is not included and is obtained separately.
The Ilyushin Il-2 was a Soviet ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War, one of the most produced combat aircraft in history. It was notable for an armored bathtub protecting the pilot and the engine and for heavy armament for attacks on ground targets. The early single-seat form had no rear gunner, who was added only on the later two-seat versions.
Transfer the masks onto degreased glazing and press them carefully into the frames of the glazed canopy. Spray thinned paint in thin coats, so that no heavy edge forms. Peel the masks off while the finish is fresh; kabuki tape holds on the curved parts of the glazing too.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The model itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
