Decals for the Nieuport 17 of the Italian fighter pilot Giulio Poli in 1:32 scale - a decal set from Copper State Models with the markings of a fighter of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set from the Copper State Models brand in 1:32 scale with the markings of a Nieuport 17 fighter associated with the Italian pilot Giulio Poli. This is an accessory for builders of aircraft of the First World War - not a kit - which makes it possible to build the machine in an individual Italian rendering.
The Nieuport 17 was a French fighter sesquiplane of 1916 which, thanks to its handling and its excellent rate of climb, earned the reputation of one of the best Allied types of its day. It flew in French, British, Russian and Italian colors; in Italy it was built under license and made up the backbone of the equipment of the fighter squadrons there. The personal markings of the machines of individual pilots are today among the most rewarding subjects for a build.
Apply the decals onto a smooth, glossy surface and let them adhere thoroughly with the help of a softener, so that they settle even onto the texture of the covering. Once they have dried, varnish the surface with a matte or semi-matte coat - the machines of the day had a mostly matte appearance. On fabric-covered surfaces a fine post-shading around the ribs looks superb before the decals are applied.
The set contains decals only - the kit of the aircraft, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
