A Japanese fighter pilot of the Second World War, No. 2, in 1:32 scale is a resin figure from the Czech manufacturer Black Dog, the second pose in the numbered line of pilots.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a separate figure in 1:32 scale, not an aircraft kit. It is the second figure of the numbered line of Japanese fighter pilots, so it can be stood beside the other parts of the line to create a scene beside an aircraft where the characters do not look repetitive. Black Dog is a Czech manufacturer of resin accessories whose castings have sharply drawn surfaces of clothing and gear.
The gear of a Japanese fighter pilot consisted of a flying helmet with goggles, a light coverall or blouse, a life vest and parachute straps. In 1:32 scale these elements are large enough to be worked up with paint, and that is exactly why figures in this scale suit modelers who are only starting with painting characters and want to try it on a larger object.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap to rid them of mold release agent. Cut the casting block away with a saw and level the area with sandpaper; do not inhale the resin dust and sand wet if possible. They are glued with super glue, as cement for plastic does not work here. Apply the primer in a thin coat so that the detail does not disappear, and paint with a brush, lightening the raised places and darkening the folds and creases. Even the surface out with a matte varnish at the end.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the aircraft kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
