A detail set from the Czech maker HGW in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model, but a set of pilot seat belts that replaces the flat plastic or photo-etched belts from the box. The Late version corresponds to the belts used in German fighters in the later part of the Second World War and suits the cockpits of several types.
The belts are made of a fine pre-printed material that reproduces fabric faithfully, and combined with the photo-etched metal buckles supplied they look very realistic. The belts are fully workable: they can be left fastened or hanging loose and folded naturally over the edge of the seat.
Separate the belts carefully and thread them through the photo-etched buckles. Glue the buckles with cyanoacrylate glue or spot-glue them with an adhesive for photo-etched parts. The material takes gentle toning with filters, which makes it easy to match the shade of the belts to the cockpit interior. Work with a sharp knife and tweezers.
This is a detail accessory, not a stand-alone model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
