Eduard 1:32 North American F-100C Super Sabre exterior is a photo-etched set focused on the external detail of the airframe of a model of the American supersonic aircraft in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory for a kit. The set contains parts of thin etched sheet that replace or complement the external detail of the airframe, that is, the items that can be cast in plastic only at a limited fineness. The designation exterior in the name defines that the set aims at the outside of the model, not at the cockpit. The manufacturer is the Czech firm Eduard.
Photo-etched sheet is tenths of a millimeter thick, so it faithfully stands in for the metal covers, grilles, stiffeners and small projections that are necessarily heavier on a plastic molding. The result is a model with a more realistic impression of scale, particularly noticeable in the large 1:32 scale.
The North American F-100C Super Sabre was an American single-engine supersonic aircraft with a Pratt and Whitney J57 engine with an afterburner and with a swept wing. The C version served in the fighter-bomber role and was equipped for refueling in flight.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface, not by twisting. Make the folds in a bending tool or between two blades, so that the edge is straight. Glue with super glue applied with the tip of a wire, not with cement for plastic, which does not hold on metal. Before painting, degrease the sheet and use a primer, as otherwise the paint adheres badly to the smooth metal.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
