This set from the Czech maker Eduard brings photo-etched parts of thin sheet for detailing the outer surface of the P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an add-on set for improving the base plastic model.
The photo-etched parts refine the outer features of the airframe that are simplified in injection-molded plastic. Typically these are access panels, closures, stiffeners, grilles and other small exterior details, thanks to which a model gains thickness and sharpness true to scale.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, form the bends over a metal bending tool and fix them with super glue or epoxy. Degrease the sheet before gluing and work with tweezers. Paint the fitted parts carefully to match the surrounding surface.
This is an add-on set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
