Eduard 1:32 P-51K gun bay is a photo-etched set for refining the wing gun bay of a model of the P-51K Mustang fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:32 scale. It holds parts for a faithful rendering of the wing gun bay of the P-51K Mustang fighter, that is the space with the machine guns and the ammunition belts. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for an open presentation of the armament.
The North American P-51K was a variant of the famous Mustang fighter, built in Dallas, Texas and differing above all in the type of propeller. In its version with the Packard Merlin engine it shared with the other late Mustangs the wing battery of heavy machine guns, whose bays can be opened up on a model.
The photo-etched parts are separated from the fret, formed with tweezers and glued with super glue. The bay is built with the panels off, so that the inner structure and the armament are visible. Careful painting and discreet weathering that brings out the signs of use are recommended.
This is a photo-etched accessory for refining a model, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
