This is not a kit but a small accessory that makes an unexpectedly large difference in a cabin. The set contains photo-etched seat belts for the ejection seats of a Panavia Tornado ECR model in 1:32 scale. The STEEL designation in the name refers to the material: against brass, steel is springier and above all holds its shape once bent, so a belt can be folded naturally over the edge of a seat and left to hang freely. Molded plastic belts, by contrast, look like part of the shell. The particular number of parts is stated on the box.
The Panavia Tornado is a twin-engine combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing and a crew of a pilot and a systems operator. The ECR version is intended for the suppression of ground radar systems and for electronic combat. Both seats are ejection seats and their harness system is clearly visible in an open cabin, especially at 1:32 scale.
Separate the belts with a scalpel and shape them with smooth-jawed tweezers, so that no marks are left. Bend them over the edge of the seat gradually, not in one sharp movement. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue in minute drops, or with gloss decal varnish, which allows the position to be adjusted for a while longer. If the parts are pre-painted, do not spray over them and do not wash them with solvent; it is enough to bring them out after fitting with a dark wash. Degrease unpainted steel parts first and spray them with a primer.
This is an accessory for a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
