A set of airbrush masks in 1:32 scale for the Fi-103/V-1 kit from Special Hobby. They are applied before spraying, and the kit is sold separately.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of airbrush masks is intended for the Fi-103/V-1 kit from Special Hobby in 1:32 scale. The name lists it under the designations LTV-N-2 Loon and Reichenberg, that is, under the names of derived versions of the same machine. The exact extent of the masks and their placement are given in the instructions enclosed with the set.
The Fi-103 is a German unmanned missile of the end of the Second World War, known under the designation V-1. Further versions were developed from it, among them a piloted conversion listed under the name Reichenberg and an American counterpart designated LTV-N-2 Loon. It is these designations that the name of the set carries.
Apply the masks onto a clean, degreased surface before spraying and press the edges down carefully so that paint does not run underneath. Apply the paint in thin coats and let each one set, because a heavy coat tends to peel at the edge of the mask. Once the spraying is done, take the mask off carefully, ideally with the tip of a pair of tweezers and with an angled pull rather than straight away from the surface.
The set suits builders who want the insignia and color transitions sprayed rather than transferred with a decal. A sprayed surface has no glossy edge of carrier film and takes a later matting and weathering better. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
