A resin figure in 1:32 depicting a British airman of the First World War in a relaxed pose with a cigarette. The casting serves as an accessory to large aircraft models or for an airfield diorama; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is not a finished figure.
The Royal Flying Corps was the land-based air corps of the British Army, which in 1918 merged with the Royal Naval Air Service to form the Royal Air Force. The pilots waited long hours at field airfields between individual flights, and a scene with a cigarette in hand belongs among the typical photographs of the day. The flying dress was made up of a leather coverall or a service tunic, a leather helmet, goggles and gloves; in an open cockpit protection against the cold was fundamental.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and free them of mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and sand the surfaces wet and with protection for your airways. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). After the primer has been applied, paint with a brush. The British service tunic comes out well in a muted khaki shade completed by a wash into the folds; bring the leather parts out with dry-brushing. Paint the face in layers from a darker base toward lighter areas.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
