The fabric seat belts HGW 1:32 Sopwith Triplane – Seatbelts for the open cockpit of the fighter triplane. Laser-cut fabric with photo-etched metal buckles.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory set for finishing a cockpit, not a kit of the aircraft. The basis is straps of printed microtextile cut by laser, and photo-etched metal buckles go with them. The set is prepared for models of the British Sopwith Triplane fighter triplane in 1:32 scale.
The Sopwith Triplane was a single-seat fighter of the First World War with an open pilot's position. On it the belts are visible from immediate range and from several sides, so a flat plastic or photo-etched strap is distracting. The fabric can be bent, twisted and thrown over the edge of the seat or the side of the fuselage the way real webbing would lie.
Take the part out of the sheet, remove the backing paper and work the strap between your fingers, so that it softens and loses its flatness. The ends are threaded through the buckles and fixed with a spot of cyanoacrylate. The fabric will take a fine wash with an oil or an enamel paint, which gives it weathering; on aircraft of this period the straps suit being toned toward leather and canvas shades. Tweezers and a new scalpel blade are all you need.
This is not a model of the aircraft, but an accessory for the interior. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
