HGW masking set Spitfire Mk.II (1:32) — precisely cut self-adhesive masks for the canopy glazing and the wheels.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks from HGW intended for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.II fighter in the large 1:32 scale. The masks are stuck onto the frames of the canopy glazing and when spraying they ensure sharp edges with no paint creeping under. In a large scale, where even small imperfections of masking stand out, a precisely cut set brings a markedly cleaner result than masking with tape. Circular tire masks for a clean transition between the tire and the wheel disc are usually included.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.II was an early fighter following on from the original Mk.I, with the Rolls-Royce Merlin XII engine. It was committed at the end of the Battle of Britain and in the period that followed. Its distinctive elliptical wing and slender silhouette are among the best known shapes in aviation history.
This is a masking aid, not a model. Paints and the kit are not included in the package.
