This is NOT a model of the aircraft but a detail accessory. The set contains turned metal barrels of the late build of the armament of the E type wing for the Supermarine Spitfire in 1:32 scale. The accurate metal parts replace the plastic barrels from the box and raise the realism of the model.
The late build of the E type wing carried the same mix of armament – two 20 mm Hispano cannons and two 12.7 mm Browning machine guns in fairings – but differed in the details of the barrels and their treatment compared with the early build. This arrangement was used on the later production Spitfires.
Glue the barrels with cyanoacrylate into drilled holes in the leading edge of the wing. Before gluing, deburr the parts and verify the correct build against the documentation for the particular machine, because the early and late builds differ.
This is a metal detail accessory, not an aircraft kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
