GasPatch 1:32 metal rigging turnbuckles type C (30 pcs) are small metal turnbuckles for rigging — the bracing wires of First World War aircraft. It is not a model but a detail accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of thirty miniature metal turnbuckles in 1:32 scale from GasPatch, in the type C form. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for rigging — the bracing wires of biplanes and other First World War aircraft. The turnbuckles are accurately made metal parts which faithfully replace the real tensioning couplings on the wires and raise the realism of the airframe markedly compared with a plain taut thread.
The package holds 30 metal turnbuckles of type C. They are fitted onto the bracing wires between the wings and the fuselage of historic aircraft, where they form the visible termination and the tensioning element of the wire. The metal construction is strong enough to take the pull of a taut wire. The turnbuckles suit the building of First World War aircraft models in the larger 1:32 scale, where the fine detail comes out best.
Thread the turnbuckle onto the wire (drawn nylon thread or elastic thread, for example) and secure it with a drop of super glue. Deburr the parts before fitting and paint them in a metal, brass or steel color. Work with tweezers and in good light — the parts are very small.
This is a rigging accessory, not an airplane model. The wire, glue, paints and the model are not included in the package.
