Montex 1:32 Typhoon Mk.Ib with car doors is a masking set for modelers, not a kit. The masks are cut to the shape of the glazing of the Revell kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on set of self-adhesive masks in 1:32 scale. It holds no plastic parts and nothing a model could be built from; it serves to mask the glazing and the frames on a model you are building from the Revell kit. The set is cut exactly to that kit's clear parts.
The Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib was a British single-seat aircraft powered by the Napier Sabre engine and armed with 20 mm cannons. Early production machines had a cockpit with a densely framed canopy, entered through a hinged side door resembling that of a car, which is where the designation used by modelers comes from. Later machines received a frameless teardrop canopy and a sliding mechanism. The framed variant is markedly more laborious to mask, because the frames are numerous and narrow.
Sets for heavily framed cockpits tend to be split into a great many small pieces. It pays to lift them off the sheet one by one rather than all at once, and to check on the model where each belongs before laying it down. A fresh blade and pointed tweezers make the work easier. The recommended order: the masks for the inside first and the spray in the interior shade, then close the cockpit and go on to the masks for the outer frames. Spray the camouflage only once that has dried, otherwise the paint will mark when the door is handled.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
