This resin set from the Czech manufacturer Aerobonus captures the utility platform trailer used by US NAVY ground crews on airfield areas. The platform measuring 36x60 inch is complemented by absorbent mats that catch leaked service fluids. It is a scenic accessory for dioramas, not an aircraft kit.
Wagons like this served to carry tools, parts and material between aircraft and maintenance stations. Absorbent mats were a common item of handling area equipment, as protection against spilled oil or fuel. The accessory will bring the scene around an aircraft model to life, as well as a stand-alone diorama of ground support.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and gently sand the surfaces. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and protect your airways while sanding. Dark metallic shades will underline the metal surfaces, and you can suggest wear with a fine wash and pigments.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
