Aviattic 1:32 set of heads of German pilots of the First World War, 5 pieces: unpainted replacement heads for livening figures up and for crewing the cockpits of large models of Great War machines.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the manufacturer Aviattic holds five heads of German pilots of the Great War in 1:32 scale. Replacement heads are a classic figure accessory: they let you vary the expression and the look of production figures, crew the cockpit of a model with a pilot of a different character, or animate a group of airmen in a diorama so that no two figures look the same.
German airmen of the First World War wore varied headgear, from leather helmets and goggles through field caps to shapeless caps pulled down against the wind. It is precisely the variety of headgear and faces that makes airfield scenes of the Great War a rewarding subject, because each head can change the whole reading of a figure.
Separate the heads from the casting blocks with a fine saw, sand the marks down and wash the parts. You attach them to the bodies of figures with super glue, and small gaps can be filled with putty. Acrylics will handle the painting, and oil paints suit skin superbly, because thin glazes create natural transitions. Finish the detail of the eyes and the stubble with a pointed brush under a magnifier.
The set of heads is supplied unassembled and unpainted: it is an accessory to figures, not a set of complete figures.
