The turned Aber 1:35 barrel of 10.5 cm KwK L/70 caliber with a double-baffle muzzle brake is a metal replacement for the plastic barrel of a model of the German Löwe heavy tank. It is an accessory for a kit, not a model.

An accurately machined metal barrel in 1:35 from the Polish firm Aber, completed by a double-baffle muzzle brake. It is not a model: it is a replacement part that swaps the plastic barrel on a model of the German heavy tank for a metal one. The advantage is threefold at once: the barrel is perfectly straight and circular, it has no trace of the mold parting line that would have to be laboriously sanded away, and the muzzle is really drilled out. A multi-part muzzle brake moreover brings details of shape that injected plastic cannot capture.
The designation Löwe belonged to a German heavy tank project of the early 1940s. The vehicle never got beyond the drawing board: it stayed at the design stage and not even a prototype was built. The planned main armament was a gun of 10.5 cm caliber with a barrel length of 70 calibers. A model of this machine therefore belongs among the so-called paper projects, a popular category among modelers who build equipment that never left the factory.
Cut the plastic barrel off at the mantlet and clean the hole out with a drill bit until the metal part seats without pressure. Try it dry and watch that the barrel points straight, as the metal part is heavier and will sag if it is badly seated. It is glued with super glue a drop at a time. Paint only after degreasing and over a primer for metal; fit the barrel at the end of the build so that it is not rubbed during handling.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
