A kit of plastic bricks that are joined by clicking them into place. You need no glue, no paints and no tools — the pieces are colored in production and the model takes shape step by step following the instructions. The 1:35 scale matches the usual size of vehicle models, so the finished car can be stood beside other kits and models in the same scale. The open cabriolet body gives the model a striking silhouette with the roof folded down and a long front hood.
Horch was a German car maker from Zwickau that concentrated in the 1930s on cars of the upper class and from 1932 belonged to the Auto Union group. The 830 type appeared in the first half of the 1930s as the marque's smaller and more accessible model, yet it was fitted with a V8 engine. The bodies were supplied in several forms, among them the open cabriolet with a folding fabric roof. Typical of these cars are the long front overhang, substantial fenders and separate headlights on brackets — shapes that come across well even in a brick-built model.
Sort the pieces by size and color before you build and you will save most of your time. Follow the order in the instructions exactly; on a brick-built body a layer you skip shows up only several steps later and is hard to find. Place the finished model out of direct sunlight, because colored plastic fades in the light over time, and take the dust off it with a soft brush.
The kit is assembled from plastic bricks that click into place. Glue and paints are not needed and are not included in the package.
