A turned metal barrel for the 37 mm Bofors wz.37 anti-tank gun for a model of the Polish light tank 7TP in 1:35 scale. The machined barrel replaces the plastic part of the kit — it is perfectly straight, with a circular cross-section and a cleanly made muzzle, that is exactly where plastic parts most often suffer from seams and distortion.
The light tank 7TP arose in the 1930s from the development of the licensed Vickers 6-ton type and was a modern machine for its day: it was one of the first tanks in the world to receive a diesel engine. The single-turret version carried the 37 mm Bofors wz.37 anti-tank gun, an effective weapon against the armored vehicles of the day. The 7TP tanks joined the defensive fighting in September 1939, where despite the enemy's numerical superiority they proved themselves against lighter German hardware.
Degrease the barrel before fitting and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before painting we recommend a fine primer meant for metal; after the camouflage has been sprayed, tie the barrel in with the rest of the turret using a filter or light weathering so that the metal part does not look separate.
The accessory is made for a tank kit — the base model is not included in the package.
