This resin set of exterior details in 1:35 scale from SBS Model is intended for detailing the outside of a model of the Italian light military car the Fiat 508 CM Coloniale. It is an accessory, not a complete model. The cast resin parts sharpen up the external fittings of the vehicle beyond what the base kit offers.
The Fiat 508 CM Coloniale was an Italian light military car derived from the civilian Balilla line and adapted for service in colonial and desert settings. Vehicles of this type served the Italian army above all in North Africa and in the Mediterranean during the Second World War and carried a range of external fittings typical of field service.
Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the small exterior elements separately and pick them out after assembly with a wash and pigments for the dust effects of a desert setting.
