A photo-etched set of safety belts for the cargo compartment in 1:35 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. It is not a model but a detail accessory for the interior of a kit of the British Airspeed A.S. 51 Horsa Mk.I military transport glider.
It replaces the flat plastic belts from a kit with fine photo-etched belts for the cargo and transport compartment of the glider. The belts can be formed into a realistic drape and raise the fidelity of the roomy interior markedly, which on this type makes up a substantial part of a model.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, form them with tweezers and glue them with super glue. If the set is not pre-colored, the belts and buckles are painted in with a brush; the sheen can be knocked back with matte varnish. Fit them only once the interior has been painted.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
