Aber 1:35 – an armament set for the Russian T-14 Armata main battle tank brings a turned metal barrel for the main weapon and a barrel for the remotely operated machine gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
A metal detail set, not a tank kit. It holds turned barrels that replace the plastic armament parts on a 1:35 T-14 Armata model – the barrel of the 125 mm main gun and the barrel of the 12.7 mm remotely operated machine gun. It is made by the Polish company Aber, which specializes in turned metal barrels and photo-etched detail for military models.
The T-14 Armata is a Russian main battle tank built on the universal heavy tracked Armata platform. It was first shown to the public in 2015. Its main design feature is the unmanned turret: the crew sits in an armored capsule in the front of the hull and operates the weapon remotely. The main armament is a 125 mm smoothbore gun, backed by a remotely operated 12.7 mm machine gun on the turret. Its unusual layout and modern shapes have made it a popular subject among builders of present-day vehicles.
Degrease the metal barrels with alcohol and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy. On modern vehicles a smooth, even surface is what stands out, so spray the metal in thin coats with an airbrush once the primer is down. The long 125 mm barrel is conspicuous, so check it against the axis of the turret from several angles after it has dried. Keep the weathering restrained, as modern vehicles tend to be much cleaner than Second World War machines.
This is not a model kit but a detail accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
