This is not a vehicle model but an accessory set. The resin castings replace the rear fenders on models of the early production series of the Tiger I heavy tank in 1:35 scale. According to the name the set is dimensioned for two vehicles, so it is enough for two models under construction or allows a part of the castings to be kept in reserve. Resin holds sharper edges and a thinner profile than injection-molded plastic, which is the key thing on sheet metal fenders, as it is precisely the thickness of the material that tends to be the most conspicuous concession to pressing technology on stock parts.
The rear fenders were among the most exposed sheet metal parts on the vehicle. In service they were bent, deformed and often lost entirely, so it is exactly they that give a model an individual character. The early production series of the Tiger I differed from the later ones in a number of details of the hull and the fittings; the fenders are one of the elements where the difference is noticed on a model. The set therefore aims at the modeler who wants the shape and thickness of the part to correspond to the real subject and at the same time to keep freedom in how much he will damage the fenders.
Wash the resin parts first in warm water with dish soap, as remains of the mold release agent prevent paint from adhering. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc, not with nippers, so that a part does not crack. Do the sanding wet and with your airways protected, as resin dust must not be breathed in. It is glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate); cement for polystyrene does not work here. A primer is necessary before painting. If you want to deform the fenders, warm them carefully, as resin reacts to heat readily, but fast. Check the fit with the hull dry while still before gluing.
