This is an add-on detail set in 1:35 scale from LZ models. It is not a standalone vehicle model but a set of parts intended to improve the plastic kit of the American Diamond T 972 Dump heavy dump truck. The set combines photo-etched parts, resin components and a brass chain, and it replaces or supplements the details that injection-molded plastic cannot render faithfully.
The Diamond T 972 was an American heavy truck with all-wheel drive from the period of the Second World War, used in the Dump version for engineer and supply tasks. Trucks of the Diamond T series served the Allied armies for carrying bulk materials, building field roads and logistics in the rear areas as well as close to the front.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts and cut off the casting blocks. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and bend the photo-etched parts over a metal edge. Use respiratory protection when sanding resin. We recommend applying a primer first and then spraying the shades with an airbrush; washes and pigments in the recesses and on the chassis will bring the patina out.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
