This injection-molded plastic kit captures the Chinese Dong Feng Meng Shi light utility vehicle with a payload of 1.5 tons in its parade form. The model is meant to be glued and painted. The box offers a one-piece frame with detail, separate suspension and drivetrain, a complete interior, opening doors and hood and rubber tires; the exact contents may differ between editions.
The Meng Shi (also EQ2050) is a Chinese 4x4 off-road vehicle developed by the Dongfeng group, inspired in design by the American HMMWV. It serves to carry people and cargo and as a chassis for a range of purpose-built bodies. The parade form corresponds to the vehicles used at military ceremonies and formal parades.
Paint the interior and the engine compartment before the body is closed up. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic and glue the rubber tires with cyanoacrylate. Spray over a primer; parade vehicles tend to be clean and glossy, so keep the weathering to a minimum and go for a smooth, deep finish instead.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
