Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the heavy 155 mm Schneider system howitzer (Canon de 155 C modele 1917 S) in 1:35 scale from Das Werk. The kit is richly detailed, contains photo-etched parts and offers several marking options. The gun can be built in either the travel or the firing position, and two kinds of ammunition and crates complete the box.
The C17S howitzer was one of the most widespread heavy guns of its era. It was created during the First World War and, thanks to its reliability, went on serving through the interwar period and in the Second World War with a number of armies. Captured examples were also used by the German army. The gun was employed for fire at longer ranges and against fortified targets.
Use thin modeling cement on the joints of the plastic parts and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Lay down a filler primer before painting and spray the paint with an airbrush. Highlighting the rivets and the hollows with a wash looks effective, as does adding dust or mud with pigments, especially on the carriage and the wheels.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
