A pre-cut self-adhesive tinting film in 1:35 scale for the glazing of the GAZ Tiger-M armored off-road car. It is neither a kit nor a painting mask — the film is stuck onto the clear part and stays there, so the glazing gains a color cast without your reaching for tinted varnish. The designation I. means the first part of the series of films for this vehicle; the second part is a separate item.
The Tiger-M is a modernized version of the vehicle. The basic layout stays — a boxy tall 4x4 cab, flat panes of glazing in thick frames, side vision ports — but the execution of the cab and the layout of the front end differ from the older version, and so do the parts of the kits. The film is therefore cut specifically for this version and cannot be mixed up with the films for the GAZ-233014, even though their names are similar.
With the backing paper still on, offer the film up on the clear part and compare the outline with the glass and with the inner edge of the frame. On flat panes a difference of a couple of tenths of a millimeter shows immediately, so this check is worth doing on every single piece. It is stuck on only once the model is finished, varnished and dry — no varnish is sprayed and no weathering applied over the film afterwards. Degrease the part, touch only its edges and work the pressure from the center outward so that no air is left under the film.
This is an accessory for a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
