A precisely turned metal (aluminum) replacement barrel for the 7.5 cm KwK 40 gun in the L/48 version with the late type of muzzle brake, meant for models of the German Pz.Kpfw. IV tank in the late Ausf. J variants. It replaces the plastic barrel from an ordinary kit with a perfectly straight, concentric part with a crisply finished muzzle.
The KwK 40 gun in the L/48 version was the main armament of the late Panzer IVs and could destroy most Allied tanks. The late muzzle brake is typical of the final production versions of the Ausf. J.
A stand-alone accessory, not a model. The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
