This is a precisely turned metal gun barrel in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Aber. It is neither a model nor a kit but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic barrel supplied in the kit. Metal holds its shape with no mold seam, has a perfectly circular cross section and a drilled muzzle, so the result looks more realistic than the plastic part.
The long 7.5 cm anti-tank weapon in the L/70 length was among the most effective German guns of the Second World War. It armed the Jagdpanzer IV/70 tank destroyer and was also planned for the E25 development project. Its high muzzle velocity gave the weapon a penetration that most Allied tanks struggled to match.
The set is intended for models of the Jagdpanzer IV tank destroyer and the E25 project. Cut off the original plastic barrel, fit the metal part and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Roughening the glued surfaces lightly and degreasing the surface before painting are recommended; metal airbrushes best over a primer coat.
An accessory for a build, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
